Hauling lobster pots and float fishing for Bass - The Fish Locker

This is a video from when Fishlocker junior and I went to check our crab pots one morning, we caught some cracking lobsters! Then a couple of days later on another session we did a bit of fishing with the little mans own fishing rod. We float fished live prawn along some rocks and an old pier with the little man smashing it with his first and then PB bass - which really put up a fight! Amazing father son moment

Great video John, I love the encouragement that you give to James. I never had a son, but I do have A Daughter, although she's never been interested in fishing. My Daughter has blessed me with three Grandsons who are now, 23, 26, and 30 respectively, and since they were young un's I've never been able to get them interested in fishing either, preferring their computer games. If I can last out, I'll have to try to get Great Grandchildren interested if I can. Although you most certainly do I'm sure, Treasure these precious moments with your Son, he's a complete joy!

That's fantastic. I know when raising kids it's so important to tell them they can even when they say they can't. You just need to keep reminding them that even though they think they can't there is more in them than they realize. Doing something that seems difficult doesn't mean it can't be done. The little engine that could. It could and it did.
Some mental midgets here in Canada would call that child abuse but then again they're only working with half a brain so I have to excuse them. That sloppy and indulgent attitude is very prevalent here

Why I enjoy your videos; 1) you educate us in a humble manner as you film, b) you clearly understand your subject matter, c) you treat your audience like you yourself would want to be spoken to and educated, and finally d) you involve your son and wife who you clearly love and respect. I think your show and you as a host, father and husband are top notch. -From a father of a 9 year old and sea lover (fishing, crabbing, musseling, mostly)

Dude great videos but just a quick line to up the game for your fish care, if you-re going to eat it, kill it quickly with an iki spike and get it onto ice quick smart, you-ll notice the improvement in the flesh on the filleting table and on the plate. If your going to release the fish don-t put your fingers into its gills, greatly reduces it chances of survival. It-s like some one shoving fingers into your lungs.

Well done James you've caught more bass than me in one day, than I have in all my years, I've watched a good few of your bids pal, and you seem to get more than your fair share of idiots in boats, coming far to close, especially with little James on board, I'd have to be having a few choice words, carry on postin these great vids, and stay safe

Top notch again, I can relate to the lads nervousness about handling the scorpion fish, they used to come with all sorts of wives tails when I was a lad and thought the first one I caught was for sure going to see me in A&E - - but still here to tell the tale and appreciate what stunning fishes they are. Thanks for sharing

Just can not figure how anybody could dislike a father and his son fishing! Some people just have nothing better to do than run around disliking videos. Or just jealous of it! Great day of fishing even if ya didnt get anything. Great father!

Thanks for telling me about this video. I wanted to see what it looks like when they are holding eggs. James is going to be a great fisherman. He's already outdoing good ol' dad. You might lose your job quicker than you think. Lol

That was class, . the chap that passed ye awfully close should have gave you a wide berth but Capt Calamity is devoid of common sense. I guess there is no public access to that walkway / pier you were fishing beside?
