Please stop making me home sick. No, really a lovely warm family video. I know this area so well, watching the ebb tide & tide race in the back ground. As a kid, the man who taught me so much lived a little way inshore from here, he used to run trammel nets on the flat ground just outside of the massive bottom rocks, catch was huge angler fish turbot, crabs too big to get into pots & craw fish, here in France they call them Langouste, I remember back then French fishing boats offering 4 or 5 lobsters for one Langouste. Thanks again.

Hi John, the kids and I are really enjoying all your excellent videos. The one question we have though is what is the best way to catch sand eels from the boat? I see many times where you have them already but haven't seen a video yet on what rigs etc you use. I know it's a bit trivial for you going for tiny things but a fish is a fish: )

My mom's dad used to take me out fishing on ponds and lakes with my little kid's pole. He'd tell me where to cast and I always had little lake fish that were small enough to reel in, the biggest things I'd catch were bluegill/sunfish. He'd save all the big bass during the day and catfish at night for his poles. Always a TON of fun!

What a brilliant video! James is such a sweet little dude, and it's obvious that fishing is something he loves too! I have autism and fishing is a great focus for me. It's also an amazing therapy when things get too much.
Hope that you are all doing well. Tight lines!

Brilliant to see James get super exited for fishing, and if I dare say so, a little bit jealous about mummy fishlocker catching one instead of him.
Also, thanks for always wearing life jackets, . Im Sure you know why. Thanks. :)

John could you explain how you would set a live mackerel depth on a sliding float in roughly 5m on water for bass? I have had success with skerri sandeels lures but would love to hook up with a live bait! Thanks Nigel
