I'm an older guy and I no longer fish due to a stroke and a heart attack. But I just love your fishing trip videos. You explain in detail what your doing and why. I really like the deep sea adventures. I read alot on saltwater fishing and watch alot of on line videos ( my wife doesn't always understand why. American Fishing videos are uninteresting because they seem full of themselves. You make it calming and interesting, like it should be. Keep doing what your doing. There's a Yank in Wisconsin that is really injoying them!

I-d love to see what turns up on a reef at night, so long as you can find some safer conditions! I-m sure that gravel is fine with those little bbqs, but it reminded me of what an old salmon fisherman told me about when he pulled some nice clean rocks out of the river to surround his camp fire. all was fine until the heat expanded the water in the stone and it exploded in his face! -- boat bbq-s are the business though - I-ve invested in a portable one with little rubber legs that stop the heat -

THANKYOU for all of your videos from owning and buying a boat to fishing and lobster potting foraging to cooking. Because of your videos i bought my own boat named her Pikachu registered and insured her got my hobby potting permit made my own pots and am waiting for weather to settle to put them out. I managed the whole lot from info in your video. Thankyou to james and your partner also. James is very intelegent and confident. Thanks again kitg13

What a fantastic way to spend your time. Envy just dose not cover it tbh. Used to spend a helluva lot of my time as a boy pier fishing at Ardrossan harbour, and if I was lucky, got out in a boat occasionally. Mackerel season was always anticipated as we used to take our catch to the local Chinese. A crate of fish would get us a bag of chips and a shilling. Very happy days. Keep doing what your doing while you can fella.

Yep, the simple things in life are usually the sweetest.
However, what for you is simple, being local, to me, being 4 hours away up in the midlands, your simple is my 50 weeks of planning and working, to live the dream for a fortnight, always knowing, it is a temporary stay in paradise.
Jealous much? Oh, HELL YEAH! At least your excellent videos allow me to live it vicariously through you, thanks for that John.

I live in the S. W of Scotland, on Luce bay.
I tried an all nighter with my wife who is my boat buddy I must say we both found it a bit spooky fishing close in to the rocks, the seals were making an awful howling noise reverberating in the caves. must say we prefer day time fishing after that, wimpy or what. Tight lines

Are rays good for the table? I have seen people take thornback home once or twice returning from a boat trip when I was younger I use to watch the local guys bringing in lobsters and fish and I'd watch em fillet thornbacks but never thought to ask if they were any good, I know people use to eat common skate although they're not so common anymore. Anyway just wondered if you had tried it?

Super vlog, watched the other and the screen over the light helps massive, maybe dim it a bit if you can, but super session, and you got your Ray in the end, not the one you wanted, but a ray is a ray and not a bloody doggy, maybe another vlog target Cod or something in that family, if you can, don; t know how far off shore you need to go, or if cod can be caught where u fish.

We allenjoy our programs, even our two year old loves the dive and rockpooling catch and cook vids! You are a super presenter with passion and knowledge. You could easy get a massive TV following, but to be honest, we think TV is dying. Too much propaganda and fake news from the corporate media. Small is beautiful. Hi I'm used to using cheap mono line atm off the beach I was thinking of switching to braid dont rearly wanna end up snapping up all the time tho do you know if theres any decent quality mono lines out there from your experience with fishing that may be better quality compared to cheaper line would like sommet that can give a farely decent cast and strong aswell
