Hello from the Outerbanks of North Carolina! Loved you and your families video! What a great way to spend the day and catching delicious scallops and clams for lunch nothing better than foraging the beach cleaning then cooking over an open fire. The best part eating what god has provided for us. James reminds me of my son when he was a lil guy what great adventures we had clamming fishing crabbing! Keep up the great family vids!

I just went clam digging last week for quahog clams in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. It-s my new favorite thing to do. Along with the clams I also found hermit crabs, blue crabs, razor clams, soft shell clams, horseshoe crabs, and one long nose crab. I want to someday live in a place where I can forage like this everyday.

Hearing the shucking and shells clacking was so pleasant to my ears, like an ASMR, as well as the sizzling fire. Everything very beautiful, visually appealing.
By the way, I'd keep the collection of shells to store jewelry on my grooming table.

Hello. I'd like to know, did you go to school to learn all that you know about sea life, etc. Or do you know them from living there and growing up there? Also, how old is James? He seems like a fine young man.

Did anyone else get anxiety when he kept putting his bare hand under the rocks? ---. although since I live in Australia and more than 50% of the fauna seems to want to kill us, that could be why? Lol

I wish I had scallops and razor clams in my area. All we have down here in South Texas USA is sand fleas, shrimp and some decent fish. There are only these clam type shellfish that are about 4cm large.

I love how you don-t dig up the razor clams and leave big holes in the sand and ruining the environment you guys are a natural to it by the way the razor clams kinda look like cheese sticks -

what a concept, spending time with your kid and him not sitting in the car playing on a cell. don't tell him, but he is learning as well. happy to see no fast food meals for him

This really was a fantastic day on the shore. Good weather, good tides, good food and family. What could be better? I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend and take care. --

I do have to ask. Do you not eat any of the marvelous seaweeds? I pay a lot of money for kombu(kelp)/laver(nori)/dulse/sea lettuce and aonori(green laver flakes.
