A very enjoyable video, I could almost taste the lobster! James is a lucky boy spending this wonderful time with Dad. plus learning along the way.
When I was a kid, my cousin would come to my house and we would go looking for yabbies in the local creek. Only narrow in most places, the yabbies would be under the rock ledge along the waters edge, we had cubes of meat supplied by our Grandmother, tied to a long string, you just had to sit it out! Worked every time, my uncle would do the cooking but if we had a female with eggs, we had to take it back. Our uncles would go to local saltwater creek and always came home with crabs and sometimes huge lobsters, like yours but about twice the size, mostly bright blue. That was 60 years ago and it seems like yesterday! -

Oooh, I hope there-s lots of good weather ahead. I love seeing these videos so much. I don-t live anywhere near a sea, I wouldn-t get any hands on experience doing this. It-s almost kind of magical seeing a critter flash by the camera and get told what I-m seeing. Thanks for sharing your passion, teaching about how to forage conservatively, and giving James an amazing exposure to the natural world at his fingertips. Love to your family, John!

My 6 year old daughter and I love your videos! We-re so impressed that you never get pinched! By the end of every foraging video we-re craving seafood. It always looks so delicious! We want to try some low tide foraging for ourselves someday. Thanks for sharing your shoreline adventures.

Wow, he is so knowledgeable! And look at all that life everywhere! If I were just walking around out there, I would only see water and rocks with some weeds. But this shows so much I had no idea was even there. That lobster was amazing. Love how you teach your son everything.

My goodness, these creatures are so beautiful! Thank you for sharing your beautiful shoreline with us, and your knowledge - spending time with you and your family feels like spending time with a friend! And what a lovely break from the news of the day, thanks for that too!

I watch all of these videos with a drooling mouth. It is a shame i can not have any of these sea food in my country. The only thing i can get are mussels and they are a bit tiny. Not many people care about continuity of the species so they harvest the shit out of them.

Burn baby burn. My experience as a kid playing with fire was eventually replaced with being a wildland firefighter and doing prescribed fire on a large scale. In America there is work that allows you to play with fire but in most cases there isn't lobster around.

The beauty of this is that you have forever sealed this time with you and your son. Hopefully one day, when he's a dad himself, He can look back at these videos and Smile. I think it's absolutely beautiful. Good on ya friend.

One of the most beautiful videos, I felt like I was there. One of the best -nature documentaries- I have seen last time. Thank you for the great explanations. Very authentic and sympathetic, always with a impish smile.
