This episode is all about MUSKY, when we visit three lodges located in Ontario's Sunset Country! Sioux Lookout Floating Lodges. The main dock is located on Lac Seul, which is a massive body of water. The great thing about booking a houseboat is that you can be placed in a section of the lake where the bite is happening right outside your door. Unlike a fly-in trip, you have a lot of room for equipment, tackle, food, and clothing on a houseboat! No need to travel light. Young's Wilderness Camp. You can expect to enjoy the majority of the day fishing at Young-s, which ups the odds into hooking one those beasts. We didn-t actually spend a whole lot of time muskie fishing. Lodge co-owner Perry Anniuk and I got in about nine hours of total muskie fishing. Stats: landed three, lost another boatside, and four other follows including two Lake of the Woods tanks! Again, this only in nine hours of fishing, including running time from spot to spot. Along with the big -skies, there-s plenty of walleye action too: Lake of the Woods is very well-known for big walleye. Host Troy Lindner Eagle Lake Island Lodge. Eagle Lake is home to some of the best (if not the best) trophy musky, pike, and smallmouth bass I-ve ever experienced- and did I mention trophy walleye? Plus, their waters are also home to a huge population of eater-sized walleyes perfect for the frying pan. I-ve been to Eagle Lake Island lodge multiple times, and every trip has included a fish of a lifetime and plenty of shore lunch opportunities. Talk about a win-win! Host Ty Sjodin Ken: I love the way Ty gets so EXCITED when its a big fish. It doesnt matter whether its on the end of his line or not! I cannot wait to get back up there this spring (hopefully. Last year was a bust in my opinion, I miss our friends Up North!
