In 2004 we had the pleasure of visiting the North Platte River for the first time in the Casper Wyoming region. Host Colin McKeown learned a great deal about nymphing techniques, both walk & wade, and from a drift boat. At that time, he caught the biggest Brown Trout of his life! I fished it for 3 days near the Fort Steel Rest Area. Caught lots of trout. Amazed at the amount of Rhyacophilia in the riffle. The most dominate nymph in that area.
