Nice markings on those bigger pikes! I was looking on the Hearst site and I noticed that they don't have smallmouth bass and lake trout fishing on their list. For a Dutch guy who has been doing DIY fly fishing worldwide for many years, but has never visited Canada yet: if I want to target smallies, would it be better to do one of the drive to lodges, or would a more remote location really make a difference?

Great. I love pike fishing, but I live in an overdrowded country with too much fisherman and not that mucjh fish density. The fishers are generally great and nice people who support C&R, but the pikes are very hard to catch on lures because they are negative conditioned.

I can't ever watch pike fishing without remembering the time Larry Dahlberg got his thumb tangled up with a big fish in one of his videos. Beautiful place, I'd love to get up there some day.

You guys got me hooked on shallow water pike fishing. It-s either the Algoma region or Lake Kasbah but I will be there!

How long is the flight on the planes they use to go 158 miles to that lake? How many people does it seat?

what would the price range be for a trip like this, assuming you already have all of the fishing gear?
