Great video on catching Pike. I have not fished for them ever, but I remember when my dad did in Nebraska when I was a kid. How can you say you are new to fly fishing when your dad is great at fly fishing? Wise pilot to turn back. Way too many push it and then pay for it along with their passengers way too often.
