A real angler knows importance of reeling slow and giving fish a break so they can equalize when fishing really deep that's why you get very big heavy line so it won't break while you reel slow and stop. But that under water release shows alot of respect for the fish helping it to revive that os the key right there don't throw big fish back gotta do it gently so they live

I think the reason why the last fish with the popped eyes lol like that was because they were fished out of the deep too fast and the gases escaped too quickly. I think that's why blobfish look super chubby

And best part about deep-sea fishing is its instant action all day long be a huge school of trigger fish that is hard to get past or a hundred feet down you get on some big monster reef fish
reply

The eyes popped out because it's a benthic fish and is used to a very high pressure due to high density of water. I think the fish might have exploded later.

How do you guys know so much about fishing, but don't know what barotrauma is? I don't even know how to bait a hook and I know what it is.

I always wondered, if we have a hard time breathing with no air would the same be to a fish with water? Jus a thought
