You should really try to release it or at least keep it outside of water for no more than 10 secs, otherwise just take it out and eat it. Their gills start to get damaged if you keep them out of water for more that 10 secs.

Nice catch bro. Its not called golden trevally. here on Oahu, Hawaii its called a Yellow Spot Blue Fin Trevally. Locals here call it a Yellow Spot Papio. Papio are under 10lbs. Any trevally 10lbs and over we call it an Ulua.
