Deepwater crappie fishing is a lot of fun, but it's not a catch-and-release game. That means you need to do everything you can to select the biggest crappies you can out of the school for harvest. In this video, Jeremy Smith and Dan Quinn break down how they go about targeting the biggest fish in the school when they're chasing basin crappies. Big baits like the Rapala Rippin' Rap and the new Rapala Slab Rap can be killer for this application. Take the tips from the video and apply them to your fishing this winter, and you're going to catch a lot of big crappies! 330: Hey guys I love this video! I literally just put up a video of fishing some basin crappies on slab raps myself! One thing about the basin crappies though is it really depends on how deep the are suspended. In my case it was 30 to 40 ft deep but the fish were only 10 to 15 feet down and those fish are just fine to release and will not die. It's when they are suspended deeper 20+ feet when they start dying. Good job and keep up the good work!
