Just a little comment.
I have fished LOW for about 40 years.
I just will not take a 4 wheeler out, as you guys did. Why you may ask?
1. Pressure ridges.
To get up and down a pressure ridge, you need a snowmobile with studs. Traction is everything.
2. Fuel capacity.
The typical snowmobile holds 10 gallons of gas. At 10 mpg, you have 100 miles of range.
As for a snowmobile, I will recommend a 2 stroke, with a recoil rope starter. Better for cold weather starting, and not relying on a battery for below zero starting.
100 hp snowmobile with a 2 up seat, studded track, recoil starter, and always bring your fish trap with your gear and heater.

It was a good video, we enjoyed it.
We are still waiting for good ice on Lake Simcoe. Just too sketchy yet for us yet. Also, we are not too keen on walking out, want to use our sleds.
Glad you boys bought lots of food. And good thing you brought a cell phone.
Also. want to tell you. the fish are probably on the shoals this time of year

Not every day is a good day, but there is something good in every day. and you find a way to record and tell that story! For the 50% of people that watch but don't like or comment, this comment is for you!

Did you consider putting the gas from the auger into the 4-wheeler? I know you want to refrain from that if possible, but I'm guessing it would have crossed my mind.

Goes back to get the helmet they forgot. but not the gas lol. I always bring emergency gear in the bush. glad it turned out to be a life lesson and nothing more

I never leave far without 2 sleds, shelters with heat, fuel, food and communication. Ive got inreach roadpost, and or satellite phone service anywhere I go.

I would love to see the dna genetics on the red haired lad. Results would probably be written in hieroglyphics on an animal hyde. No hate.

Ik in the auger u may have mixed gas and it may be around a half gallon and depending how far u are out that could make u back home

And I was made fun of last time I got like 3 subway sandwiches wrapped up in 6in separate raps for a night on the ice lol!
