I fished LOTW for the first time this spring. Used frozen shiners and river hooked em on a jig. Caught my PB 29. 5 walleye! Its a preferred method on a local lake I fish often and it sure keeps the minnows on!

I'd love to use gulp more, but last time i bought one even though i tighten the lid tight it always seemed to spill into my tackle box after i open it (slowly) which makes it a mess and have to clean

Live minnows: through the mouth out the gill in the back like Sam does; it has never failed me: )
Frozen minnows: through the eyes and in the back or through the mouth out the the head

Sam's minnow is best. We cant use live minnows in my area, but that's the only way to rig a minnow. I'd actually be real curious what the difference would be with live vs. dead minnows.

When I hook fat heads I thread them all the way on through the mouth but when I'm using medium suckers I thread it through the mouth and pull the hook out in the middle of the skull

Im going to go ahead and judge this one 11-7 for Sam. She gets a handicap since (as far as I know) she hasnt spent YEARS guiding and making a living off of fishing

Jay whats the product called that you use for heating up your food in the boat in the one video small gas heater of some sort to heat soup ect
Thanks for your time

I hook minnows directly on top the back, above the dorsal fin. But thats only for stationary fishing with a lindy rig. Otherwise for jigging I hook in the mouth.

Ive visited and fished Minnesota a few times (Im from Washington State) and I agree 100% with Sam I do NOT like leeches. my brother laughs at me but whatever.
reply

ok Jay, Sam is definitely a keeper. Any girl that likes to fish, plus eats a goldfish off the deck of your boat not knowing where its been, two thumbs up.
