Then the images of the horizon being black with a flock of what seems like 1000 geese. Absolutely amazing feeling of anticipation. You want to advertise hunting in Manitoba, that's the only B roll you'll ever need.
This felt like I was re-living that first hunt (except we limited out by 7: 30. Great video!

Rifle opener was a bust. So went and spot n stalked for goose opener. Followed a flock from a private field to public lake. Lucked out with them butting up 40 yards from shore. No decoys, no calls. Just a 100ft+ belly crawl. Got my 2 bird limit after having to chase one across the lake for 20 minutes till i could get in range and oar it. Dove under the canoe a half dozen times.

Jay you need to get yourself a layout blind and get in the middle of the field. They are more likely to land away from brush and wooded areas bc they are safer until you pop out of your layout blind and let them have it. Its a really awesome way to hunt them. Keep up the great content enjoyable to watch as always.

Even though you say you are not an expert or perfectly experienced at hunting, you make the kind of hunting video I love. You show everything about the day and your setup etc but you dont waste my time talking about how the birds are going along your southeast lateral line or something haha

Jay, just curious when this hunt was? and if you weren't aware LOTW has some great diver hunting right in your back yard. Great video as always, love the waterfowl stuff, your content and approach to being present and addressing the watcher as if we're their is always world class

Never tried wing shooting, I dont even own a shotgun. I have a buddy who hunts geese in Mantioba every year and I always bug him to bring me along. I guess I need to get myself a shotgun.

Just curious if you hear about Ross's Geese being harvested during the hunting season? They seem to be hard to find in southern Manitoba compared to the large flocks of Snow Geese

Just a tip, mojo/lucky ducks dont work in a goose spread from my experience. Geese hate any movement like that. Unreal video.
