Keep it up bud. If restrictions allow we need to hook up for a day of fishing this summer at LOTW when we are at the cottage.

Nice footage Jay.
We dont have Splake here in Australia, but my go to Trout lake was stocked with Tiger Trout for the first time about 6 months ago.
Looking forward to seeing how they fare, and give the trophy Browns and Rainbows a run for their money.

I fished Bold at the start of the season. It was my first time taking my baby boy of 1 month old ice fishing. My wife and I setup with the hut and sight fished them in 3 to 5 feet of water. Your tiger trout video is the reason we sight fished. I plan on making it an annual trip. Keep up the good work.

Another bit I like to consider is the boat ramp itself. The crustier the access (or may be none at all) the less fishing pressure as the city boys are afraid to drop their boats in. That and a good deep dark blue water on satellite is likely a healthy lake with healthy fish.

Can I just say, love how honest you are for example in the video you say how you should try not to hold trout by the gills and whatnot then you come out and say you have in the past for pictures and whatnot. Love the honesty keep up the great work man

Awesome video is it just trout that come in so fast or where they that aggressive I love icefishin but never caught a trout did some open water fishing in the last month and caught a lot of perch some 12 15 inches long thanks 4 the videos

Did that fish try to unhook itself by rubbing its face in the bottom? I have had a fish hooked, was fighting it and then all the sudden I was hooked on bottom structure; always wondered if it was an accident or intentional.

It's been incredible to watch you this winter. You have taught me so much, so thank you very much! Seeing this 4 days after ice season has closed in MB I'm already getting sad. But now to get ready for open water!

Great videos man! But jaw jackers are legal in Ontario btw as they are not considered a spring gaff. Makes them completely legal to use here in Ontario. Cheers brother and happy fishing!
