Had a great day ice fishing on Lake Manitoba with Keevin Erickson. The Micro rattle bait was definitely the hot bait for hungry lake Manitoba perch and walleye

That was fun, Jay! Up until the last one or two Perch you landed I can't believe how light in colour those fish were! Hey perhaps while you are into some Perch fishing, you could detour a bit farther south and hit Oak Lake for an afternoon? I've never been disappointed fishing there are the Perch are abnormally large, that or Pelican Lake by Ninette another killer lake for Jacks, Walleye and decent Perch!

If you ever down in the states again I have this lake in my backyard its a medium size lake for Pennsylvania and an average size perch in it is about 15 inches small one would be 10 inches so if youre ever in Pennsylvania in mid January let me know and we can go in my backyard and catch some giant perch it also has 30 inch walleyes and 40 inch pike so its right up your alley

Omygosh! That walleye was so aggressive! That was really cool! I want to go ice fishing so bad, no gear except a St. Croix ice rod I bought on sale few years back. This year, we have safe ice, other years, I'd have to do a trip somewhere. 12 degrees outside now, has been running in low 20's F, I seen forecast of 50 this coming week.

Hopefully you see this but little suggestion on strapping down a sled on an open deck trailer. Run a strap from each side of the track rails down at 45 to the trailer instead of over the tunnel.
Puts a lot of stress on the tunnel the way you have been doing it, and will keep your rear shocks from unneeded wear. Great content!

Awesome video Jay! Im definitely wanting to get on my first perch ever threw the ice ever! I was able to catch my very first walleyes threw the ice ever this year even though they were 12 or smaller they still made it to top side of the ice! Now just hopefully I can get onto a perch this season!

Quick question for you Jay. I just bought the Eskimo escape 2400 and about to upgrade my heater. was wonder if that Flex heater was enough to keep your shack hot? i only ask because i see you wearing your coat most of the time in the shack.

Well you guys killed it today. Quite a feed of Perch! I must admit I had a little chuckle when you were turning your shelter around back into the wind although you weren't as amused as I. Looking forward to more of the Interlake adventure

Its so weird to hear you say you're in like 12 feet and going to go shallow for walleye. In the eastern basin of lake Ontario we get perch shallow in 10-15 feet and go out to 25 for walleye. Walleye may come up into 15, but not much.
