On Day 4 of my trip to California I head to Clear Lake in search of some giant bass to break my pb (6. 9lbs. After we launched the boat we met up with local big bass MACHINE Paul Bailey, who guides on the lake daily. Once I met up with Paul I hopped in his boat and he gave me the run down on fishing BIG 8 inch Huddleston swimbaits. About 10 minutes into fishing I hooked into the biggest bass of my life I had an absolute blast fishing in California for 4 days and I accomplish my goal of catching the biggest bass of my life HUGE thanks to Team LTB and Paul Bailey for putting me on some GIANT bass while I was there.

NICE Andrew The feeling of getting them on the big 8 Hudds is something special. You know when you feel the thump on that lure its the kinda fish that makes your heart race. Sling some of those big baits around NE. its even crazier getting them in places where people don't think to throw the big stuff. CONGRATS DUDE I could feel your adrenaline and it got ME going I cracked three fish over 6lbs here in the northeast this year, but I was gunnin' for what you just achieved. a 7lb stud

Great video and Congrats man Looks like you guys were fishing those Hudds without tweaking the hook at all. Just arrived in SoCal with some Hudds and have been pondering if I should change out the hooks on the Hudds. Looks like I'll stick with the stock hooks for now since you guys look to have been sticking them without issue.

Nice buddy My PB is a 7lb 6oz to. Caught mine in Sandhills of Nebraska though. Had a day this spring that I caught a 5lb, 5lb 11 oz and the 7lb 6oz bass all in the same day and the same lake. It was cold and raining in the spring. It made me a fisherman for life. Bought a little Jon boat since then. Congrats on the fish

Congrats Andrew One thing i find absolutely awesome is that these guys dont have 50k boats. Travis's boat has green tape holding the counsel together. Paul's boat is a tracker inboard jet boat thats been around. Just shows you dont need the top of the line boat to catch monster fish. Keep it up guys.

I love watching people's reaction to catching big fish for the first time Us East Texas Guys take it for granted. I remember when I put my wife on her first 8 pounder she freaked it was an amazing experience I think it's awesome you captured yours on camera.

On January 12th, 2015 Tim Little had the honor of breaking the California State Record for Spotted Bass. His monster bass tipped the scales at 10 pounds 6 ounces and is the number 2 spotted bass of all time On Clearlake.

I can't believe they didn't count his spotted bass as an official wr. It was clearly 11. 5 and its bs that just because it wasn't weighed on land that it doesn't count. It was a great fish that should be in the record books

What was the ROF of the Hud you caught your fish on? Also, what was the ROF of the 68 that Paul downsized to? Keep up the good work man, hope you truly bring the swimbait game to NE.

Nice bass, I just started fishing with the Huddleston 68 Weedless. I lost the biggest bass I've ever had, estimated 13-14 lbs. Since then I've caught 3 fish over 5 lbs in one trip.
