Andrew you have some great info on your site. Enjoy it. Cool owl attack. Can't hear those guys coming as they fly stealth mode. So I was fishing a frog at a lake in TX. I went to a spot with a big dead tree standing not far from the dock and cast, a bird almost hits my line on the first cast and I thought it was a pigeon and went to reeling. Next cast I throw onto the bank across from me and boom this little hawk almost nails my frog before I realize what is happening. A few days later I was fishing a little after sundown along a wall. It was dark enough I didn't really see the heron a ways down from me on the wall. My lure hit the water about 10' in front of the wall where the bird was and he pounced on it and started to fly away with it. Fortunately when I jerked it the hooks didn't find his beak Would have been an interesting catch as I had it on 40' braid. Never came close to catching a bird in 50 years of fishing and almost caught 2 in week You are right TX is an exciting place to fish, just moved here a little over a year ago and already quadrupled my PB from NE days

Petty nice crappie. If u want to catch literally 18-22 inch monster 2+ pound crappie on artificial lures, head to bull shoals in the spring You can't go wrong and the crappie and absolute mammoths. You usually run into a lot of smallies and big hybrid too on the small road runner and spinning gear.

I live right next to enid lake. The keeper limit for crappie is 12 inches there lol. It's crazy. I've caught quite a few 3 lb plus crappie. The world record crappie was caught there too.

thanks for the tips i fish in waters around here just like yours but always use worms an crickets, no wonder i aint catching shit. your tips give me hope to catch other than bluegill

i went fishing today, i was fishing for cat fish and i caught a 2 pounder pretty nice, but then i cast in the same exact spot with like 1/3 of a hotdog, and catch a 6 pound bass.

I caught a bass at a local pond and my scale said 8 pounds so I told everyone and sent a picture, the next day my dad told me my measurer was of by 4 pounds
