Don't give eggplants to anything that can't eat peppers, potatoes & tomatoes - they're all related species & contain a toxin. Even for humans, eating the leaf or stems of eggplant can land you in hospital

The donkeys have probably been raised on hay and grain. They should go to town on sliced apples, carrots, celery, and the pares. Also try cucumbers and various berries.

Eggplant tastes good, but not raw. Never ever eat raw eggplant. You gotta heavily salt them first to draw out the bitterness. Then fry them up. So good.
