Its time to add some new animals to the backyard farm In todays episode the guys and I build a rabbit house I hope you all enjoy PARKER: You might want to put a tarp around it or inside a building in the winter if its going to be out side so your rabbits dont die to the cold. Also I learned that if you dont give your rabbits running room otherwise the get open sores on the bottom of there back feet and then can get infected

G'day flair i have been love most of your farming video they are awesome BUY YOU HAVE TO PUT SOME THING FLAT ON THE BOTTOM they can get Rabat foot. the wire makes there feet looking like there feet will start to hook around. Like a bird foot and if they get bird foot If they get scared all of a sudden they can rip their feet up pretty bad sometimes. So just go buy some 1 inch plywood and cut it to make it so it just fits in here in Australia we cement sheeting BUY To make easy to clean out make sure you paint it with oil based paint So you just use a pressure washer. It turns into a 10 minute job instead of a half hour to a hour job bro.

I think you did a great job with filming this project and I also think you should tackle a chicken coop. Film it in a similar fashion cuz this was fun to watch. Good job on your starter building project Maybe put a 1x1. 5 foot (half the cage) of outdoor carpet in each cage so they don't have to stand on the wire all the time? It would mean just reaching in there and tipping it over to clear the poop off with an occasional rinse under the hose from time to time. Love the red and white, but as in another comment I left, haha, I'd highly recommend painting all of your lumber before you build whenever possible. Looks good boys Heather

FLAIR, your best bet is to use your old feed sacks and cut them on two sides and use the to staple to the sides of the hutch to keep the rabbits warm. Here in South Carolina it gets cold enough to freeze the little guys. so i know your gonna need it up there with all the snow and such.

Suggestions put a rain catcher on the hutch so they can have rain water to drink I would also rebuild the chicken coop to accommodate the chickens, ducks and Tom. Pretty much a bird condo again with a rain collector that will keep them watered.

Flair, If you want character. I would recommend Lion head Rabbits. The are AMAZING. We have a one and he is hilarious. His name is Murphy and possibly the best pet we have. Out of two pittbulls, two painted turtles and him Loved the video

Its good to put the rabbit hut in the pin with the chickens and have a screen on the bottom where the rabbit poop will fall through onto the ground and thatll cause worms to come to the top of the ground and the chickens can eat them

Since you bought 19 gauge mesh instead of the 16 gauge, you may not want to get the big beefy chungus rabbits. Too much weight on that thin of wire will break the mesh at the staples and the yotes will have hoppy burgers for lunch

I believe that you were told to do a 6ft and a 4ft, was to give you 5 ea. 2ft pens. If you built 2ea at 5ft ea, you could only get 2ea 2ft pens, and a 1ft pen on each. Giving you 4 ea 2ft pens, and 2ea 1ft pens

Every time I watch these guys build something it hurts my soul. I am glad to see people build though, it is an amazing personal accomplishment to have something you built work the way you hoped it would.
