We are doing a tilapia catch n cook via bowfshing with compound and recurve bows with lunkerstv, outlaw and Hayden on a lake. Fishing for tilapia can be very difficult because they in a lot of small micro organisms and are not prone to hitting lures. Using these primitive bows for bow fishing we are able to target them directly when we see them in the shallow water. They are very fast though! This was a tough target to hit. Once we got enough for dinner, Outlaw used his favorite fish recipe to cook them up in the over. They tasted a lot like the grass where we were fishing. Because the water was so warm, these fish grow very fast and typically don't taste as good as cold water fish

A word about Power Generation Lakes. The only thing added to the water is heat. Its STEAM that drives the turbines. Then the steam condenses as ot cools. Theoretically condensed steam should be cleaner than the taken into the system from the lake. If coal ashe leeches into the lake from the facility, thats another issue entirely, The boiler burners should be entirely isolated from any posibility of ash being dropped into the water.

Tilapia is awful I just dont think there is a good way to eat it. If you buy it than its grown in a tank eating the waste of striped bass and obviously it isnt good wild caught. Im usually a big proponent of keep trying things because youll probably like it when you find the right preparation of a dish, but tilapia shouldnt be eaten.

Where yall screwed up was not putting them on ice after the catch, and the center of the filet has a red meat usually with bone, cut that part out. Sucks cuz u throw out some meat but makes the difference. Extremely tasty if u follow those steps. Great video man! Do more!

I've heard ripping the gills out to bleed the fish and soaking it in salt water will make it taste better. All fish not specifically tilapia

Loved it. The recurve string is upside down. The larger loop goes on top, and slides over the limb, that way you can string it by yourself.

Hey man I bet if you eat enough fish out of a power plant lake you either develop super powers! . or else you get asbestos poisoning.
