This brings me back to when I was a young kid, I would shoot out the back windows (Anderson crank outs) into the woods at the squirrels with my bb gun when my parents were gone! Now Im getting much, much older but still have a love for squirrel hunting, God I wish I had your set up even though every aspect of what you are doing (minus the air rifle if it shoots 600fps) is illegal were I live, but sure is fun to watch! I take a vacation every September, this years no different to do so. I dont have a major budget air rifle as you do, just my trusty Gamo Hornet Maxxim. 22 but it gets the job done. Until later in the season when I switch to my Stoeger M3000, I once cooked several in a slow cooker for 6 hrs. and had pulled squirrel sandwiches on hamburger rolls for days, out of this world but way to much prep work getting all those bones out! I now just par them in the oven and BBQ on the grill with a little Sweet Baby Rays BBQ Sause!

Had and Ugh! today. Set a snap trap for chipmunks under log overhang (to keep birds out of the trap) Went out later and the trap was missing. I hunted for it for 20 minutes or so, and finally found it, attached to a squirrel's front paw. The full-grown critter had squeezed through a neighbors chain link fence, but the tarp wouldn't pass through. His paw was bloody from the squirrel's efforts to get free. I dispatched it with a. 22 caliber air gun pellet and buried it. At least some of the bird nests in my yard and neighboring yards are a bit safer.

First, saute the pieces with butter, olive oil, salt, pepper, onion and mushrooms. Cook until the veggies are caramelized. Then, mix up Cream of Mushroom soup - one can of soup, half can of water - in a mixing bowl. Lay the squirrel in a crock pot cooker with the onions and mushrooms (the meat should be nice and browned) then layer in the soup mix. Cut up a whole link of smoked sausage and mix in the pieces. Let cook for two hours, serve over wild rice. You'll never shoot another animal other than squirrel from now on!

This was as hard to watch as you filleting the blue gill. Chicken broth, in a crock pot with the cleaned squirrel. Once cooked (3 hours onnlow, pull of the bone, boil broth, flatten biscuits and cut into night size pieces, throw in boiling broth, add squirrel when biscuits are done, and just a pench of flour. Simmer for another 10 minutes. Squirrel dumplings are amazing.

Talk's WAY to much. Not enough action. Can't shoot at all. Anybody that shoot's ANY animal's, should SHOOT TO KILL! Keep in America. Don't bother to watch, it's BORING watching him talk. I do not understand how anyone can talk so long without saying anything.

They eat pecans in the south this time of year. I've never noticed if they taste like pecans, but I'll pay attention next time.
