I do the same with lipless, but I pull it straight up and let it drop instead of the side pull it looks like you do. More of a yo-yo action. Love it in the early spring/late fall time. I've also taken the front hooks off some of my lipless and replaced it with a willow blade. Helps around logs and sticks.

I like how after nothing on the jerbait you then toss out the lipless and keep catching fish. Shows how much the jerkbait really sucks. Some days when the 'jerkbait bite' is on, just know cranks and blade baits would be doing just as good if not better.

Favorite rods weren't the greatest so I'm hoping this time around they do it right. Rods are such a difficult thing to get right so I'm very curious to see how it goes.
