Started bow hunting just over 23 years ago. Spent about 15 years of that time where I only hunted with a bow simply for the challenge. South Texas was one of my best destinations, with the Hill Country a close second.

Ive made a PVC pipe gullwing, a PVC pipe re-enforced with fiberglass driveway stakes, and a tapered driveway stake bow. Because of illness I cant pull more than 35-40lbs anyways- they are all about that. For wabbits.

Oh how I miss getting on a school of White Bass, especially when your significant other is smacking you with another as your just getting the other off her hook, limit out, cookem up, and watch the sun set.

You and lunkers got me into bow hunting last year. I love learning about it but hate having another hobby to crack open the wallet for. Very close to donating blood plasma to support my outdoor habit.

I agree, that feeling you get when a deer comes in close to you while hunting with a bow is like no other, you can't even explain it to someone that has never felt it.

Archery is amazing, it's a different animal and underrated. Guns are blah, a bow takes skills and determination to practice to get that perfect shot. Enjoy your new bow!
