3 blade would give ya more speed. Ive heard that it sacrifices a bit of hole shot but I havent myself noticed much if any difference at all. If anything it allows the motor to rev up and get in the power as it starts biting the water. Seems better with a 3 blade on both the hole shot and speed.

Brother Im 62 years old and have been thrown out of a boat at speed and yes I was wearing a life jacket and had my kill switch attached Please remember you have a family and kids could be watching That was a fool thing to do

So please tell me the bottom of that hatch, over the battery is not metal. If so you might need to insulate those battery terminals to make sure the bottom of that hatch doesnt short them out.

It's not safe to leave your hand off the throttle if you hit a stump while you are moving you could be thrown out of that boat really fast.
