Fishing in the mountains of Colorado for trout and Kokanee salmon with light tackle and lures. I'm showing a catch clean and cook using a new method with camp fire and hanging pot served with cheesy grits. Steven: Hey Bro this Sockeye Steveo Sweetwater Colorado, Kokanee are sockeye Salmon, thats why they eat soooo good. They filter zooplanton thru the gills. That is why they can be hard to catch before the spawn, Anyway have caught them on every bait night crawlers meal worms, But spinners at times work the best. Thru the ice we use jigs with meal worms, I have a dutch oven and Iam gonna briake it out. We fished Lake Fork in June and we are headed back next month' will target Largemouth Bass what should I throw first week of November, See Ya Sockeye steveo

I know that lake! I fished the same spot at 2: 47 a couple years ago with rooster tails and caught salmon. My son is in college in Alamosa and fly fishes all over those mountains. I have a blown up canvas picture of that background at 2: 40 on my wall. Beautiful area.

Man missed watching your videos. Some hysterical that the last time I was consistently watching you I was bass fishing in Texas but now I live in New Mexico and started fishing trout and doing some deep backcountry exploring! Good mentor! Good man!

I've so missed the day where my daughter would go fishing with me and wanna do outside stuff. This vid made me so jealous. She's 10 now and wants nothing to do with it! Soak it up LakeForkGuy and hope the best for you and your family.

Serious question, love the videos but why the heck are you guys so adamant about shooting in HD and not 4k? It literally reminds me of when we got HD back in the day but everyone was still filming 360p-720p. it just looks terrible.

When me and my family go camping we make a meal called hobo packs. It's where you take patted out hamburger meat, carrots, potatos, and onions wrap in tinfoil and set it over the fire.

Wish I could've reached through the camera for a taste and the cheesy grits as well.
Next years must have for your dutch oven cooking a campmaide set up.
Just a suggestion

Another great video! One thing you can do with a Dutch oven is to put some coals on the lid to get heat from both the top an bottom.

The fish was looking delicious! I was surprised to see that your daughter didn't seem to be grossed out by the fish cleaning process!
