This, for me, would be the perfect holiday! Come over to the US, work on a boat for a fornite or a month, no pay just fishing every day we can and then I can go home to the UK with a crippling back ache and a huge smile: D So much better way of commercially fishing than trawlers or long lining. Even if I did love both of those when I was working on a fishing boat backin the late 80's and 90's.

People only fear sharks because of jaws. Yes, it was based off a true event. Yes, it can happen in real life. But why will it happen? Maybe because PEOPLE KILL THE SHARKS FOR THEIR FINS AND GO FISHING! IF THE FISH POPULATIONS DROP, WE REALLY CANT BLAME THEM FOR EATING US CAN THEY? WERE THE REASON THE POPULATIONS DROPPED!

im not afraid of sharks because they eat my fish catch. im afraid of them because humans are not mobile in water, and sharks are big predators that basically have access in all dimensions in water. imagine flying tigers YOU'D BE AFRAID OF THOSE THINGS TOO

I noticed a couple of times they had chances to lift fish out but dicked around instead. errr dah, look, it da fish there swimmin on end of my line, ooooh it got eated, ohhh i wonder should i have lifted it out?

A lot of sharks are actually taking advantage of the presence of fishermen. They let the fishermen tire the fish out and the shark will then use the opportunity to steal the fish.
