In this episode I'm in southeast Florida kayak fishing in tough conditions looking for BIG common snook, tarpon, jack crevalle and whatever else might be biting despite the cold. I've met up with two good buddies Eric and Matt from Deep Blue Kayak Fishing because I know if anyone can help me find fish during a cold spell in south Florida, it's these guys. After struggling to get a hookset on these strong fighting fish, we get a surprise wildlife encounter that I will never forget!

The Deep Blue guys are awesome especially here in Jupiter. You want to make your tarpon record 1-14 or more? Come back down during the mullet run that we have in the area and fish with live mullet around that same area with the Deep Blue guys. You will put a notch on your record and that PB Snook will be a tiny one too! I kayak that whole area and grew up there and it is unreal. Uncle Micks has some cold beer and good wings too. Just a bit smokey sometimes in there.

Man guy from all your excuses I can't tell if you're a racecar driver or a fisherman, LOL no kidding though man you did lose a lot of fish this day. Love the video though and did you see how high that Tarpon jumped my gosh, anyway keep up the good work then like I said nice video

Love the content as always. I've said it before - you seriously need to up your net game, boss! Your buds at Deep Blue Kayak Fishing were using the Ego S1 net - they're perfect for kayak work. Big open bucket and you can get them with a rubber net to prevent hook hangups.

Playing catch up on videos today, too bad on that Tarpon, that would have been sweet to get in the boat. However, capturing the launch out of the water was fantastic; that's what makes great the one that got away stories. Overall, that looked like an exceptional day.

NO WAY! The house that you caught your new personal best snook at is without a doubt my families old vacation home! I'm so taken aback right now I've caught countless Jack out there and I used to just LOVE looking out over the river. Unreal man, just unreal!

I freaking hate tarpon, they're such a waste of time looking a fish jumping around for hours you have a bad luke with them and im here like dude i can hook one up in no time at all they're everywhere here man up to 200 pounds

Way to go! You got us into kayak fishing and we cant stop! Were in Clearwater now catching snook and red fish. On the Tarpon, you need to set the hook 2-3 times as you reel to get it set in their boney jaw. Keep on catching.

The fact these guys said yes after everyone said no speaks volumes on the quality of guide service they commit to. Goes with the code of being a guide. Love it, live it help others experience it. Bad break with the tarpon.

Manatees are cool. see the all the time here in SW FL. Looks like you had a great time. Those snook were the perfect size. Loved the 40 pounder you had on. You are right about the sign of a good guide.

I have a few friends that live down there that go fishing for Snook would love to know what they taste like it is one thing seeing them being caught but quite a different thing than eating one.
