Fly Fishing for BIG Rainbow Trout in a Shallow River

In this episode I'm still in McCurtain County, Oklahoma, but this time I'm fly fishing for rainbow trout in the Lower Mountain Fork River with Morgan & Trey Prater. These two guides are some of the best in the business, and they help this rookie learn the ropes of drifting indicators for big, hungry rainbows

Don't like your intro WHAT SO EVER. Even if you did. You shouldn't encourage ppl to Sell everything when we both know damn well even if you did; You probably had plenty of money saved/leftover to survive awhile if not be perfectly safe with a back up plan like mother, father, brother, friends(not everyone has those safty nets) You're pretty sheity bro. Alot of dumb ppl in this country and the ppl you're appealing to are under educated according to state education statistics.
Pretty much what I'm trying to say here is. Go fck yourself

The Ouachita Mts. are famous for quartz.
The advantage of barbless hooks is that you can reach down, twist the fly and free the fish without taking it out of the water. No scooping with a net and handling the fish required.

Another way to tell if its a natural or fishery is that the natural's flesh is pink and a hatchery fish the meat is white. I used to catch rainbows every day where I lived. In Northern Idaho. fabulous fishing there!

Even by Montana standards that is a beautiful stream.
Two cranks, a mepps, and a spoon, and he would SLAY those trout. But I get it, that's not always the point.

Nice video - i would keep the tip of the rod as straight as possible with the angle of the line, increases you sensibility and gives you more room to set the hook.

I subbed and liked the video and watched all the ads. Hopefully this helps to fund your adventures! Maybe you'll be able to make your way towards Alaska!

This shows that you can beat the living tar out of a run and still be successful. And the Trout painting on wall with the Mushrooms is off the hook. :)

I think you should of started with bluegill on the fly first before moving to the river with trout. That's how folks in my area do it.
