In this VLOG entry, Brad Hole and I cook up the cutthroat trout we caught in episode 11. We also go jigging for squid in the Puget Sound right across from downtown Seattle. We also add a 3rd fish to the Seattle seafood feast that is a little sneak peek of what we're catching in episode 12. We eat the cheeks, heads, collars and other miscellaneous parts thrown right on the grill with little to no seasoning. And it's all actually REALLY good!

Robert, the 120 NXT was delivered today. Oh man, I am jazzed.
As for eating fish heads, don't know if I could do it even though I have downed some wild looking fish in the Philippines (plenty of San Miguel under the belt, but not sure about cheeks, lol. However, you are right, there is nothing like eating fish you caught. I haven't had squid, but have had freshly prepared octopus on a rugby coach's two master sailing vessel (again, back in the PI, specimen harvested that morning while we were snorkeling; it was excellent and it probably didn't hurt we were in some crystal clear Pacific water near Subic Bay.
Another excellent video, Brad's fish hand puppet brought on a chortle.

Once again great video! We had this pier by my old house and it was great for squid. One year it was just insane, I think they were breeding but besides that we took the flashlight and shined it in the water and I swear there were thousands of squid everywhere. You could throw down 1 jig and bring up 4 squid at a time. In my opinion, the best way to cook squid is to clean it, cut it into rings, batter it, and fry it up its amazing! It's to bad though, they tore the pier down and made a new metal one so the squiding and craving weren't that good.

Love your Vids as well Robert. I have a question for you, I have not been able to get a answer to anywhere else. I Have a Raymarine A78 FF/Chart (900) and want to install this on my Kayak. I plan on doing mostly Extreme Kayak fishing off of Pompano Beach and GOM. My concern will these stand up to the surf and possible flip now and then? Your thoughts?

Good on you Rob! Sharing a plate of home caught, home cooked fish meat with a good friend takes some beating!
You know you can get like metal pastry shape cutters? If Brad had a small to medium one, you could've put that roe in the cutter, atop the grill, and cooked it through. Seriously delicious YUM! material.

This episode reminds me of the last time I when out kayak fishing with a couple of friends. We did a catch and cook with 2 redfish and 1 sea trout right out of cat fish creek and cook at dog island by far the freshest fish we ever had. Nice job!

Man, so true. Similar to the Chinese proverb Give a Man a Fish, and You Feed Him for a Day. Teach a Man To Fish, and You Feed Him for a Lifetime. Its a very satisfying feeling! Great video as always man!

No big deal. Everywhere in the world people are eating fish head. US is the only country that thinks its some sort of taboo eating fish head. Great video as usual though.

Choping up fish has always grossed me out, but when it's all done and your taste buds are wide awake and belly full, it's all worth it. Thanks for the great vid, Robert.

Now we are talking. After a friend told me about redfish throats, I never let that pot of gold go to waste. There is something to be said about the lost art of butchery.

Been eating fish heads a long time. Had my first trout cheek when I was 8 years old. They are so good. Love the videos, great editing work too.
