Tournament concluded today and no doubt in my mind prefishing, but primarily pre running over the lake, graphing and finding those spots paid off in a big way, and this is a trend which cannot be overlooked. Bolton, Lebrun, Thrift, Warren, and for that matter the whole top ten or so had done immense homework. It's becoming almost a given, that if it comes down to offshore, which it does often, then many hours of using your electronics, running over the lake is a must. Those same areas may not produce the same year after year, obviously with the water level of the lake so high, it affects things, but no doubt it's a homework game. Ditches, drains, ledges, grass offshore, you name it, all these factors mattered.
While I'm no pro fisherman, an average amateur at the very best, it's clear to see that if you are not adapting to today's electronics and using them to your advantage, you are being left behind, especially, especially offshore.

Tournaments huh? I dont know about you but typically I find the right spot throw my line in and in about three seconds a fish is on the end of it. Its a sacred trust between man and fish that I use for the purposes of eating and breaking that trust for sport is an evil that God DOESNT wink at. Same goes with game animals. Its for food and living or you DONT do it. Can you not see how perverted this is? I get fishing I love it as well but trying to prove something by catching them and letting them go which is claimed it doesn't hurt the fish but they can EASILY swallow a hook and they can get diseases from the puncture wounds on their mouths.
I never comprehended why people do this kind of thing for sport. Its not getting you into everlasting life and its certainly perverse and decadent.
