It's harder to beat a person like Lee who knows the lake and it's seasonal fishing habitats as it's likely those bass were his pets from years pass. LoL I'm not saying he let them go from his pond or fish aquarium lol like no one would release their pawn fed Bass in a zone they know for a future tournament, would they?

I would just like to thank you Scott for these break downs ive had a hard start to my tournament season and its nice and refreshing to hear someone else reflect on lessons learned so when i walk away i can come away with knowledge and how to break down a day to improve myself as an angler and a sportsman!

If you didnt make the cut, and it took 35-40 mins to catch a fish. how can you say the bandito bug was good? It literally led to failure in this case Scott. I get that one must always sell for the sponsors. but maybe one of their swimbaits fished offshore would have been better success.

Scott remember your plan you settled on at the beginning of this event? You were sure it was a pre spawn situation. I think you wasted time chasing that mistake from the get go! I suspect they were coming off the bed. also notice the females you caught were already without roe?

Tunnel vision sometimes can hurt you in bass fishing. I know throwing the bandito bug and sight-fishing is what your good at Scott but sometimes picking up a square bill and running it next to the beds should be fun.

Not going to lie. I watched the practice video and thought need to go find some out deep too it s easy to get zoned in and have something like that happen. I ve done it in a tournament myself.
