Linux has long been a favorite operating system for server administration because it-s a secure open-source O.S. that-s able to be both stable and flexible. This course will teach you how to configure servers running the Linux operating system, including the boot process, kernel modules, network connection parameters, and localization groups. Follow along with CBT Nuggets- trainer Shawn Powers as he details every part of configuring, monitoring and supporting a server set-up that runs the Linux operating system

Can someone explain me? I bought a server with 4bay hard drive and I though each drive store data to back up in case one of the drive failed that way I won-t lose data. And I just replace the failed drive with a new one. But as I learn deeper it is not the case and I learnt something call RAID.But confusing enough that RAID setup doesn-t matter on individual drive. RAID configuration use all of the available hard drive space in one combine set up. for example it might use RAID 1 in HHD 1 and HHD 2. So what should I do if one of the drive faile? Will I lose date? Can I just replace the drive if the drive failed? How it work? I-m confuse.

Absolutely outdated.
I have no idea who the target group of this video is, but talking about System V init (instead of systemd) and Grub 1 (Grub Legacy) is almost a crime in 2021.
Most bigger Linux distributions (including Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS, Fedora) had systemd since 2015 or before and Grub 2 since 2012 or before.

whenever I try to create a partition or physical volume, logical volume, volume group on my virtual disk images, I keep getting the warning that my files system (ext4 or any other) will be discarded. After I proceed, my virtual disks wont have any file system
