So far almost every 3080 model I've seen has been accompanied by several posts suggesting to undervolt the card for minimal performance loss (apparently, only a few frames max) for vastly improved thermals and power consumption. Is there any truth to that?
Also, EVGA just started a new checkout process by where you're entered into a queue and are sent an email with a link to buy your card and I think they're the only manufacturer I've seen do something like this. I thought it was worth mentioning for anyone in these comments still looking for a card.

still no availability!! (3080) never mind late 3070!! a bloody fiasco really, love nvidia availability update! putting back the release now till 29th as their explanation!! like they are doing us a favour, what a load of crap! nvidia need a real person to estimate their supply needs not a bloody algorithm
many thanks for info,video.
yes I am sore about not getting one :)

Should GN partner with someone like EVGA, ASUS, MSI, etc to make a custom enthusiast's GPU, Case, Fans, Mobo, etc?
A blue and white with the GN logo and the team having heavy input on how the products work. Better thermals, better cooling solutions?
I mean not many people are willing to buy certain parts until Steve reviews it and gives the go ahead on them

Running for a year now Ryzen 3600 on ASRock AB350 Pro4 just fine even though it was not supposedly supported (although it did get a BIOS from ASRock), so maybe even some of the older boards will be able to support Zen 3. Have not looked into it too much though, since I am personally skipping at least one or two generations, 3600 has been serving me well so far.

I got a question about Zen 3 support. I plan on building a new PC soon and decided to go B550(MSI Tomahawk). Would I be able to simply flash the updated bios without having an older Ryzen CPU installed? Im switching from Intel and don't have a processor so a Zen 3 chip will be my first and from what I understand it won't work without updating the bios first.

I use to work for HPE as a Data Center Engineer here in Vegas - The NNSA kept us busy with consistent cases on HPE's ProLiant, Apollo and C7000 blade based, servers. So the news of them acquiring a supercomputer from HPE is awesome, as I'm glad to see the NNSA continues to stick with them for enterprise computing.

That keyboard looks terrible for that price. It looks like a custom keyboard, with all the downsides that brings. That thing looks like a mess to clean, and honestly just looks kind of basic. It's like a flat panel with a bunch of keys tacked on, looks like a prototype rather than a production piece.

In other news, Nvidia still doesn't intend to sell many FE card (if at all, like in Europe)
Sub par launch ? What launch ? FE cards haven't been launched. You know, the ones that were reviewed as wow, nice perf, nice cooler, and for 700 ?!!! .

This x590 reference isn't new, it's been in gigabyte bioses for several months, they probably just didnt bother to alter that name from a certain agesa implementation onwards. Not sure why it's news now and not 6months ago when it first happened.

If Apple released less than a few thousand IPhones on launch day it would kill their future first day sales. Next gen nobody will even bother getting up early to try and get an nvidia card.
Where are the shareholders demanding accountability?
