A few ideas -- try powering the GPU card fans 100% from an off-the-board power supply. Build a duct to feed air between the two cards to overpressure the second card's fan intakes. Set up a duct box around the GPUs and their fans and bleed gaseous nitrogen from the Dewar into this -- it should have little or no moisture so there shouldn't be any ice formation.
What's actually in an SLI bridge anyway? If it's just a simple ribbon cable then it should be easy to fab a new one for flexibility or even allow you to open up the gap between the cards to 6-slot or 8-slot for better airflow for the inside one, while running everything on an actual motherboard rather than using extender cables.

Love GN but damn I wish all three of you would waste less time overclocking 3090s (which none of us will ever do) and review more custom 3080s (which many of us are still trying to buy)
This content is great but theres still a dirth of information on so many custom cards ... I feel like the overclocking pissing contest could wait a few weeks

excellent stuff checked up on the HOF straight after its kinda fun checking the table then guessing what was done in the up coming video I was thinking of ways in set up which might benefit scores but I never thought of turning off RGB or externally running the card fans to gain some wattage thats a great idea lol loving this content

One great card, one card not so great.. limiting your scores to the best that the worst card does.. if you had great scores using the one card, I would suggest getting a couple of cards and doing the same thing to find another card on par with your really good card and then run them two in sli..

The load-bearing screwdriver looks like it's the Sword of Damocles hanging over the motherboard
I know this video has editing (thank you for making the decision not to stream with that fan that screams in entire dB decades) so did that screwdriver ever kinda sidle or tip over a bit?

The fan on top of the 2 cards is blowing up and away from the cards. I think that fan should've been flipped the other way around to blow down unto the cards. The card at the back closest to the motherboard and monitor is probably the card that wasn't doing as well.

Port Royal is a GPU benchmark. CPU and memory makes next to no difference. Having adequate spacing and no riser would be much better, with an actual measurable benefit. Captain objective with clear motherboard bias to his own detriment.

5:45 I like cross paint but too much Paste! I prefer check planarity and correct roughness with Floor retified Tile porcelain stoneware and Polishing it with Car Polish( thinner then 5000 Sandpaper) then put in a lot less of paste!

14:52 it s a 20amp circuit uhm, isn t that dangerous to have a 15amp extension cord on a 20amp circuit? Doesn t this risk melting or fire if the cards pull above 15 amps as the circuit breaker won t trip?

Could you...sthap... Dropping the damn cards on the tabletop.
I get it, you've got a pad down, built to spec, but it makes me twitch and since everytime you drop the card the last inch.
