video description
It's not a conspiracy theory it happens all the time with tech products in small countries where there are 2-3 big retailers hoarding all the products from smaller shops.

Imagine if consoles did only launch once every 10 years. People wouldn't upgrade them so often.
2005: Xbox 360 Xenon, 2007 Zephyr (HDMI), 2007 Falcon, 2008 Opus, 2008 Jasper, Jasper/Kronos
2010: Xbox 360s: Trinity/Velje, 2011 Corona.
2011: Xbox 360e: Corona / winchester
(the following is heavily trimmed down)
2006: Ps3 FAT 20GB and 60GB
2007: Ps3 FAT ALLOT of revisions every few months.
2008: several years of storage and case revisions
2010: ps3 slim
2012: ps3 super slim
and yet more other revisions with different storage and cases
2013: Xbox one
2015: Xbox one elite
2016: Xbox one S
2019: Xbox one S digital
2017: Xbox one X
2015: PS4 and later a Matt version
2016: PS4 Slim
2016: PS4 Pro
many revisions and updates of case, power supply, storage etc
Thats 4 consoles....apparently
(In which case I've had the same pc since 2000).
2020: Xbox Series S
2020: Xbox Series X
2020: PS5
2020: PS5 digital
I'm sure there wont be any updates to case/psu/cooling or slim or pro models with different hardware until 2030.
Everyone that buys the launch machine keeps it for 10 years so people with the 2013 xbox one wont be upgrading till 2023. Unless the consoles are just prebuilts sealed closed with no way to upgrade and you just have to replace the whole thing of course.

Good job Microsoft, keep ruining your foundation :) I'll stick with Windows 7 for as long as possible, and right now I even had my favorite game moving to Vulkan so even less reason to get Win10.
Also, to all of you memes out there, security is not an issue still running Win7 because there are many ways of securing yourself, you don't need Windows Updates to stay secure. In fact, I've been running an unprotected Windows 7 for 10 years, no firewall, no antivirus, no updates, NO SECURITY AT ALL. My PC is completely open for biz, yet nothing has ever happened so I utterly fail to see what you guys are so afraid of. Yes, it's a zombie-PC for sure, I have no idea if it is, but I sure as hell doesn't notice anything myself and quiet frankly I don't care if it is.
Am I lucky? So I'm lucky for 10+ years running a completely unprotected outdated system and you guys are unlucky even with your top-notch security updates and firewalls and antivirus... Is that luck?

To reclarify the MSRP report here - Partners like Asus, EVGA, Zotac, and Gigabyte are given a budget constraint for their version of a particular product / videocard. Due to these restrictions, partners must find ways of making their version of the product attractive while making a profit (this is business, afterall). The issue being raised here is that since the allowable cost of the card is more or less defined, the cost to produce is being heavily scrutinized at all times. What these partners want is more breathing room without sacrificing quality, even if it means that the cost of the product goes up.
Just a side note here, but the unspoken costs of manufacturing, assembly, quality testing, and others (like wages) is what really adds to the price point. Please do not get confused regarding the individual part cost.

The MSRPs on the current RTX 30 cards were not realistic to begin with. 499 for a 2080Ti class performer? lol. The lowest tier 3070s with the relatively worse coolers go for 600 EUR here in Germany and the high end ones go over 700 with stock available across major retailers. And 3080s? They start at at least +130EUR for the base models with the respectable ones sitting around 930 EUR. Aorus extreme card retails for 1100EUR! That is 2080Ti price right there. Nvidia has the cake and wants to eat it too. This is all while the gullible people are buying 3090s (yeah, they are also in stock here) for over 1800EUR. 3080 was the bait and the 3070s and 3090s are what nvidia intended to sell.

i knew that nvidia is greedy, i didnt think than even aib will be bankrupt by nvidia 60 class gpu should never be over 200 .
What prices sets nvidia and why they didnt sale the gpu separately from vram. This is clearly greed from nvidia.
anyway
now i know why i cannot upgrade my gpu because of this all gpu thats affordable for me cost more than 400 . and thats straight over my budget form max 300
And thats only a 2060s.
AMD othehand yes it is an option but so close to rx6700 with 12gb vram, were a bad idea to upgrade now. i assume around q1 21 for the rx 6700 n22 if exist
It could be a cut down n21 to 48cu

Now i have another reason to spend more time on the linux side of my drive and less on the windows side, thanks Microsoft. I have a better idea, leave the control panel alone and get rid of the other garbage that I'm sure at least half us hate. It's bad enough settings and other important stuff is dotted across the OS. Since Microsoft is treating windows as a live updated service do us all a favor and go back and clean up your code. Just because we have large drives doesn't mean we want to waste a 1/3 of it just for the operating system

What you are doing in this video by sharing information provided by different graphics-card manufacturers as well as their opinion about what a fair price should be could be used for price fixing. If the manufacturers communicated in this way directly with one another it would be clearly considered collusive behaviour that is punished by untitrust laws. If they communicate through you in this veiled way, I don't know...

LOL if MS wants to get rid of the Control Panel they need to seriously beef up what the Settings app can do! Can you set default sound devices in the Settings app yet, because I know of no other way except to go into the Control Panel. There are so many settings that the Settings app does not give us access to that makes getting rid of the Control Panel completely unacceptable.

MSRP is achievable and the pushback from partners is due to greed and more profit margin. If they play their hand wrong, and remain greedy this will open the door for AMD to take the lead here as well. This is a cycle that happens often in retail and manufacturing. If this was substantiated they would have been publicly transparent as to costs of production
