LIVE: Mini-ITX PC Build with Weird Spaceship PC Case
video description
I can rarely catch things live, so love that you archive stuff. Related to that, I like the digestible duration of this one.
I would probably be bored by a regular PC build, so I love the let's do that, but in a super interesting case that makes it totally not standard approach.
I wouldn't be salty about you giving us content just because I can't buy a GPU. I get why people are annoyed about it (though I am less empathetic about people mad about seeing reviews, those just inform eventual purchasing decisions, and I'd rather know before I buy than after), but I certainly won't be annoyed if you do end up doing OC streams again.
Totally would love to see some more coverage on unique cases, and some testing of ITX stuff. Optimum tech's approach is pretty good, I think (benchmark the best configuration(s) of cooling available in the case since a standard bench isn't practical), and it reflects how I would use the product, so I'd love to see something similar.

GN I have an Aorus X470 and it seems to have issues with enabling the stored XMP profile. My PC will start, and then restart a few times, occasionally reverting from the 3000MHz speed of the RAM back down to 2166. Watching the changes in BIOS it would seem the pre programmed timing settings are off by a significant amount since I am running Corsair Pro RAM. How would I go about resolving that? I read there is a BIOS update for it but I am wondering if it could also be a PSU issue since, on startup when it has an issue, the RAM LEDs don't want to light up and usually a fan (Corsair white LL120) decides it doesn't want to start spinning or it starts and then stops.
Would I be better off to go in and enter all of the RAM specs manually in order to make it stop acting up?

I think it is a pretty cool design idea really. I think with a little thought they could have made space so you could use a 120 AIO. Seems there could also have been some preinstalled 80mm fans on the top piece wired in series with a single connector and a wire long enough to not create an issue with taking the top panel off and pulling the wire out of the MB.
Overall though, cool design really.
And tbh, anyone with a little patience and maybe a dremel could hook up some smaller fans for airflow. As we saw in a previous video you can get 3 loud, but small, fans from a PS5 warmer for not too much ;)

Can't believe no one is saying this, but to me it looks like a robot cat head, I believe if you were to mod it and add cat ears to it it would definitely look like a robot cat head. Maybe if you add some dog looking ears it could also pass as a robot dog head. It even has the black triangle on the front that looks like a nose and the panels lines (can't think of a better term) look like the mouth

This case had so much potential but the makers thought:
Hey team we got 40-50 bucks to make a spaceship case... What do you mean it perfoms as a room heater and looks like a plastic kid toy that will fall apart if you are not careful when you grab it? Anyways, it's a unique design so we will sell it for 200 bucks

How do you guys do the camera movements? It can't just be a single gimbal, there has to be something that's moving along the floor as well, normally a person but it's difficult to do it for 2 hours and a person's walk would still have a small but noticeable bobbing effect...

I would pay 1000 for that beautiful pc case. This shows computers can be a work of art instead of plain black boxes. Am i for real or sarcastic, that is for you to decide :D

some creative builder just looking to do something crazy could do an external water cooling build and make the line hookups look like umbilical ties for a spacecraft.

When Patrick was stuffing the cables back so the front section of the mobo tray would fit in, it looks like he's working on a boat outboard motor lol.

How will we protect the occupants from the cold of space for the duration of the voyage to Mars in this thing? RTX 3070 and only 2 80mm exhaust fans.
