We're reviewing the YESTON RX 580 (2048SP) CUTE PET today, a China-only launch made available thanks to the interwebs. Code SAVEWANGWANG for 10% off GN store: (through Oct 1) We don't have an affiliate link for AliExpress, but if you want the card, you can find it here: (AliExpress) You might also like our review of the Cool-Man Three-Body: The Yeston RX 580 2048SP 8GB CUTE PET is a video card readily available on AliExpress and similar websites, but not officially sold on US retailers. The card is a real video card, in that it's officially using AMD parts and isn't some back alley GPU project. It's different, but does have a somewhat real cooler combined with its cat theme. We think it's a cat, anyway. Note that this is a 2048SP version of the RX 580, so it's cut down from the 2304SP standard version of the RX 580.

Isn't there also that site that sells/lets you have customized shrouds? I can't quite remember the name of the site off the top of my head, but it def fits in w/ this & your/our desire to see more unique designs. I think I first saw it on UFD tech as a sponsor in one of his vids. They were also based in China iirc. They had some of their own in-house designs, but also a lot of user-generated/submitted ones, plus you or anyone can come up w/ their own design, or just send them a pic of what you'd want on it & they'll essentially print it out onto the shroud. As you'd expect, there were a lot of anime/weeby designs, but also a lot of cute designs like this one, or more traditionally masculine ones or general pop culture/comic/game ip designs. Or just basic but sleek concept/abstract art designs like something off deviant art. I think they're just like a printing co. tho, as opposed to designing & manufacturing their own cooling solutions, heatsinks, fans, etc. You give them an image & tell them your exact card make/model/dimensions (or maybe send your card in) & they'll basically paint your shroud w/ said image. It's pretty nifty. Idk, this vid just made me think of them immediately as the concept is similar. Gah just wish I could rmr their name, if anyone else knows what I'm talking about.

Loved the video, and I gotta agree we need less edgelord in GPU shroud designs. The 5700 plain box and Sapphire box shrouds are about the only ones I find visually appealing anymore and there is plenty of untapped potential for the visual design aspect here. Could even make a shroud swap system where you can just pop on whatever shroud you like out of a sea of shrouds like the console skins of the PS2 era, which would make the mentioned licensed IP ideas very feasible. I look forward to one day buying waifu GPU shrouds on Zazzle, lmao.

So basically it's an RX 570. I'm old enough to remember that graphics cards used to be more like this, with all sorts of interesting designs and graphics on cards. Many old blower cards would have illustrations on them, some game IP related. I have a GTX 470 that has a shroud that looks like a purple racing car, and an HD 5700 (Terascale) with a shroud that (sort of) looks like the batmobile. By the time of Kepler and GCN though everything had gotten serious, and this is where we are today.

IDK if you will see this comment but, I think you should look at the Yeston RX550 low profile, single-slot GPU. for 1, it's pink and 2, it is probably one the highest performing single slot GPUs you can readily get (I know there were single-slot 1070s and 1050 Tis that existed but none you can find new and prices are even more ridiculous. Curious to see how good the cooler design would be on such a small card and if much thought went into it.

I actually like that. But I will never buy NV or AMD GPU. I have bought 7 of them all failed with in 2 years. Right now I have burned NV IN THE SLOT now. But am using INTEL igpu for over a year Not 1 blue screen. AMD/NV BLUE screened way way to often. So I WILL BUY Intel Xe and I will finely own A complete INTEL gaming rig other than memory 2 slots will get optane. If I can build what I want I hope the build can be done around 5 grand.

honstly I'm all for this. this specific one isn't really my style, at least not enough to buy it but the fact that we're moving to more asteticaly destinctive computer hardware is amazing. we're only use starting to get alot more white themed parts. perhaps this is the next step.

could you put the cooler and back plate on a better but still reference pcb 580? Sorta a waste to buy a 200 gpu and then just steal its cooler to put on another 300 gpu but i would if i had money to burn. That cooler is cute AF an i want it meow.

So in conclusion a useless card for today's standards that just looks cute. I guess it's time to buy 50 worth of cards and start making cheap custom fan cover plates that look cute and make some money on it.

I d absolutely get an aftermarket shroud with this design for my 1070 if it was available separately. I m happy with the stock cooler, but the original shroud looks like crap.
