World Record Overclocking Threadripper 7995WX 96-Core CPU, ft. AMD XOC Team (Live Archive)

This livestream features the AMD Threadripper 7995WX PRO CPU getting overclocked with water and with liquid nitrogen. We plan to set world records with both. The 96-core CPU will be overclocked by experts Bill Alverson & Amit Mehra from AMD's engineering team, but they're also extreme overclockers who have joined us before for these discussions. In addition to the overclocking, we'll be talking about power efficiency and thermal behavior to recap our review earlier. We're hoping to provide an entertaining overclocking session plus a lot of education from engineers! This will also provide a little bit of a tutorial or how-to guide for overclocking AMD Ryzen CPUs, but especially Threadripper.

I have a cool idea for an AMD Micro PC (like the Project Quantum in 2015 ) except mine (if i could build a PCB) am4 or AM5 X3D CPU 65- 120 Watts with an AMD RDNA21/31 GPU package (full or cutdown Configs ) 200-300 (350max)Watts (GPU) but add the AMD smartshift tech in doe desktop-ish parts sharing the Pwr to/from CPU & gpu depending on if the game/benchmarks are CPU bound or gpu bound and the mosfets would switch pwr between the CPU/GPU depending on each state!! and with 2-4x nvme slots Gen4 or gen5 on half if not all running GPU Bifurcated to x8 pci-e and have 4x m.2 NVMe ssd from CPU (this is what i want... top end RDNA chip with X3D (5800X/7800X) and fit in a Series S like console case

Loved the Stream... ya'll looked shattered by the end of it... but that's what XoC is all about in my mind... pushing the limits, not only of the hardware but of yourselves whilst doing it! Thank you Sooo much for Streaming it!
Soo much great info... Amazing to see the Blender time cut in half with the OC! I paused at one point to run Cinebench R2024 myself, to get a base line with my own 5800X3d system (851)... and it took fecking forever to run, compared to blinking and seeing it completed on the stream with 10x the score of my system!
Loved it... gutted the last Blender run crashed out!

I really respect you guys for agreeing to do these long stream events and being pretty open. I'd really like to see a portable version of Ryzen Master with improved sensor monitoring and a more coherent UI. There are so many talented devs who I know would jump at the opportunity. It may not be his wheelhouse but if the team is interested and Martin is up to it, maybe consider hiring him for some of it?
I also think the curve optimizer should be adjustable without a restart (as other tools can do), which last I checked I don't believe RM allows.

SUGGESTION:
as much as this would be possible:
less camera moving, and more cameras on set: a wide angle, an angle on the table, an angle on the hosts (or have one of these be free roaming camera )
have the monitor on vid capture, set the windows cursor to be huge, and use it to point to stuff if needed.
i realise this means having someone behind the camera doing some producing (switch camera etc..)
just a suggestion.
great conversation and insight. thx

This was SO MUCH FUN! It really ramps like crazy once we get the boards booted. If someone could please help me find the timestamp where we first ran Blender and we all went running around the room, that'd be awesome. Will be timestamping if we see them posted (or as soon as we can). This was CRAZY educational!

dear Gamers Nexus team, I just write this cos I want to congratulate you for your new website. There is people still out there that likes to read articles, you even had the care of having a very big icon there for RSS, amazing, grateful.

Very interesting test. I stayed up several hours in the middle of the night here in Sweden, just to see the end result. Cinebench works well for CPUs but pretty useless for GPUs according to my tests in R24.

I watched about an hour of this (till when the LN2 system got to about 5.4ghz) but it was late in the UK, so I assume there'll be a breakdown in a news piece or a summary later in the week?

This was just as fun as the last stream with them doing XOC. I m not an overclocker whatsoever and I don t intend on overlocking at all but it s still very fun and informative to watch.

It would be wild to map the Bose Einstein condensate that happens when there is super amounts of data transferred.
The quantum computer could create blackholes horizon .Same-same?

The morning after, I had this playing in the background while working, I can't believe that the gear survived that torture. Really fun, but also educational to watch.

dammmn AMD if only u could do it compatibly u could run Dos/Win95/win98 straight from teh L3 cache lol, Id love to se that! nohdd/ssd needed lol ... that be fun!

It s more the asphyxiation risk with LN2 as the liquid expands 700 times to gas, but as it s in a big room with plenty of ventilation it should be fine. Loving the video
