Utilize the Freeform Scribble and Shape. Excel is not a drawing application, but it has some functionality toward that. There are two main tools for drawing: the Freeform Scribble and the Freeform Shape. 1. To use the Freeform Scribble, click the Insert tab and Open up the Shapes menu. Find and click Freeform: Scribble. 2. You can draw with either your mouse or a drawing tablet. If you right-click on an edge and click Edit Points you can directly manipulate the points that make up the curve. 3. To delete points, hold down Ctrl and click a point. 4. Clicking a point also allows you to edit the handles. Right-clicking a point allows you to change the type of point. This is similar to any other vector-based drawing program. 5. Simply clicking once allows you to draw straight lines. Clicking and holding allows you to draw freely. 6. When using the Freeform: Shape tool, make sure to close the shape when youre finished. What kind of shapes do you create? Please let us know in comments

so, i have a oneline drawing i want to make that would take a list of IP devices and show their connections, plus other details from the excel sheet.
thinking that each device and related details should be a range, and set up the range so that it appears as text connected to the shape i want
then as connections to the shapes are added the details remain the same. or if details are added to a range, they appear with the related shape
i dont see any tools that makes that particularly easy though.

How do you exit draw. I'm completing my time sheet and after I signed my name I can't get off pen or eraser to enter another cell.
