they still havent fixed windows desktop manager, i cant update from 1909, to 20H1 because windows desktop manager or just WDM keeps using all my RAM within half an hour. so i had to revert back to version 1909, and i was told yesterday by my windows system, that this version is at its End Of Service date. so its no longer gonna be updated anyways. so im screwed because microsoft still hasnt fixed this core component of windows. and i have 16GB of Ram, but for some reason it keeps using all my ram within half an hour and then my pc crashes. so obviously they have been doing nothing to fix this problem for the last year.

You-re right on so very much. I appreciate that.
It-s unfortunate that some of your fans....truly suck. You see it don-t you? There are many that have that, -YEAH! I-VE CONFIRMED THAT I-M THE ONLY ONE WHO IS RIGHT!!! EVERYONE ELSE IS A PLEB-.....type of mentality.
You can-t control this of course. It-s simply unfortunate that these elitist -unts, rally behind you. You don-t seem to exclude people, like they do.
Damn shame. Btw I know my opinion doesn-t matter. Just had to say that before anyone beat me to the punch.

Hey Chris, one thing I picked up being a Jr. Sysadmin was going into GPEdit and -configure automatic updates- - as far as I understand it this enables me to choose (assuming I have the correct setting) when to update. This is a very black white situation, but if I apply the same methods here and subsequently choose that option, will it still only download security updates? I like to choose when my updates install for resource reasons.

- Chris Titus: I just saw this video and I reinstalled a complete new version of windows 10 64bit Home. I decided to not keep any of my files and start from scratch, and this was a few days ago, So I've already updated my computer a few times, I was wondering do you still refer people to use tron to do all the things I had it do the last time I had re done a complete copy install?

I made my Windows computer behave by wiping it and installing a totally fresh one using the Microsoft installing USB thing. It installed in less than ten minutes!!! A whole Microsoft OS downloaded to a USB and installed on an SSD in such a small time. I was like: what the hell? -

If you are going to do an all-nighter (perhaps not as smart professionally) and keep working on the pc past 2 AM, will it then still abruptly shut everything down and start doing the update? Or is there still a activity threshold that your computer needs to go below?

Thank you so much for this. Recent windows updates would make the desktop icons unresponsive, and all i could do was system restore , and disable updates in services , but following the instructions in this video sorted out the problem perfectly -

Can you please make an update to this instruction for 2021? Windows 10 have try to hide this setting. My Branchreadiness is in REG_SZ type instead REG_DWORD, and both Defer items are in different place unlike in your instruction

2:25 Sorry but I didn't get this: if preview features and features updates are the ones that install/update the bloatware, why didn't you disable them altogether instead of just delaying them if you are running a minimal install?

this has not worked. I currently have windows update waiting to shovel Feature Update 2004 down my throat today. The settings are set up as you show on Win 10 Pro. Is there now something else that we have to set up to get it to work?
