Or one could try Krohnkite which works very well and easy to disable. I've made a franken-DE on my laptop though. It's running mint and I got bored of cinnamon so I switched it to awesome window manager. Still not sure if I want to go that way or i3... I'll try out both. As you said - the modularity of linux is just awesome. It's fun to play.

Hey chris, is it just me or is this really buggy? Have been using for 2 days, my custom keybindings work just fine sometimes, and sometimes they dnt, randomly. the apps just won't launch. egs of such apps VS Code, Joplin. I still consider myself a noob so I wanna move away from my current wm fr ease of use.

Huh... that video of yours didn't show up in my sub box. Going to give this a try later.
It's not difficult to set up from the looks of it and since I am still running a separate Plasma session, I could also revert to standard when I don't feel like it.

monstrous, but does it allow different workspaces on different monitors? I know that's not your use case, but the way I understand from DistroTube that capability of tiling managers to have different workspaces per monitor is the main power of tiling wms.

Is there any way one can install the -Whisker Menu- plugin on Ubuntu Mate? The Ubuntu Mate desktop environment is really cool, but it would be so much better if it can be used with the whisker menu plugin. Can it be done, Chris?

I use krohnkite as a twin script, is more integrated with plasma and doable with a couple of clicks, without losing all the cool features and effects of kwin

I thought you were going to be talking about khronkite, never knew you could go so far as to replace the wm. Just goes to show how customizable KDE is.

3:53 that a downloaded file is not executable is actually the wanted behaviour
you can just give it the permissions in the script though
