Social Media Detox Day - Chris Titus Tech Muse: I like this very much, whenever i leave without smartphone I feel free man. that's how life was before all this nonsense lol. You had real conversersation, without people saying ''yes, yes'' while watching their screen and reading shit. To me that is total dis-connection. Leaving your phone home is not!

I-m joind with others with a simple wired phone, as I did before.
Smartphones and social networking have come into our lives in the last decade and instead of increasing our sociability, they have alienated us from our loved ones.I think we can live better if we limit their use.

I just watch videos on YouTube and scroll some Reddit for some stuff related to things I like. But sure, I will disconnect the router, plug off the computer and turn off the phone. I will go outside and touch some grass, because I haven't done that in quite a while.

I had a digital detox for a week going camping. It was great! Stopped watching TV, before I owned a smartphone. Didn't miss email, the web or anything computer related. Hope this video encourages others to take a break from it every so often. --

Social media is the biggest waste of time ever invented. along with TV and smart phones. YT however is / can be / maybe ... educational and inspirational. I would not be free of windoze and using linux if it wasn't for Titus Tech, so not all bad..

I consider YouTube to be more of a broadcasting service than social media. In my opinion social media is much more interactive and segmented, while broadcasting is more goal oriented and less immersed into details of private life.

It's easy for me to detach, take a lot of time to attach to anything in life. Guess I'm built that way... I've gone without phone for days... Even now, I'm with family and I don't touch my phone. Use it whenever you 'need'

Maybe you could do something where certain applications are allowed but you can't read or post comments. So you can watch YouTube videos, but you remove the social aspect of it.

About once a year I go completely offline for 3-4 days. The only tech I use is an old tablet in airplane mode so that I can continue reading books. Procrastination goes way down.
