Hi Kevin, I have windows 11 with my new laptop. I have just been using Windows live movie maker on my old Laptop. I make scrapbook videos, so I mostly shoot upside down with a camera facing the table and flip it in my movie maker. I want to be able to flip, edit a bit, and maybe add a picture in screen now and then. Also is it possible to purchase a bit of music and add it and still be monetized? Also what video maker editor would you think would work best for me? I am not very good at this, but you seem very easy for me to understand. Some people speak over my limited knowledge. Lol Thanks in advance.

Kevin, I am new at video editing. Here's my problem. I have a video that is 10 minutes long. Seven minutes of the video is of my wife's nephew playing baseball. The next 3 minutes is of my wife's daughter playing baseball too when she was little. I want to be able to -split- that 10 minutes video into one 7 minutes video and one 3 minute video. I want to be able to save each segment separately. Can you help me? Thank you for your time.

I needed an editor to put together a video for my game on Google Play. The nice thing about Video Editor is you can become expert at what it does in half an hour by watching this vid. Unlike something bulky like Premiere Elements which could take hours, or Premiere itself which could take days or weeks, just to become familiar enough with the workspace and mechanics to do the basics like trimming and combining. Nice work.

Kevin, thanks for a really good tutorial. I have a storyboard with about 4 hours of clips from digitally converted 8mm tapes of my daughter. When I try to export the video it just stops a short time into the export. I think the video is too long. I would like to divide it up into shorter videos but not sure how to do that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I like that the -Background music- intelligently adds an ending at the end of the video, rather than an abrupt end or a fade out. The -Custom audio- only supports an abrupt ending or a fade out. I wish there were more -Background music- styles. Do you know whether there is a way to get more background music styles?

BIG thank you as I hunted around for video editors and have used a couple of 'free' one only to have THEIR brand splashed along the bottom all the time! Didn't know Windows10 had one and this demo is fantastic! And for this beginner - it suits me just fine (I think for now)

Thank you for this. Any idea on how to work with say 30 short videos? When you add them to the storyboard and trim, the original thumbnail remains and hard to say which video is which...
And also, how do you smooth out transitions?

Such a great tutorial, thank you!. One problem that I encountered is that when -finishing- the video it exports it as a M4a file, not a MP4 and when I try to reproduce it I only get audio. Do you know what could be the problem?

Hi Kevin.. this was my 1st time editing vids and you made this so easy to follow! Can you please let me know how easy it would be to make videos -Portrait- instead of -Landscape- ? Can they be made around the other way? thanks

Excellent video. I about to edit some GoPro footage and will try using this editor program following your helpful instructions. My clips are longer and will probably require more time and patience -..-
