We all complain about the loss of bio-diversity in our planet, and the extinction of most of our land , our air and our ocean species or forms of life. That diversity is what made us truly rich, and enriched our lives, and our experience of it. Without freedom there can be no room for growth. The worst and the biggest and the only fear of all is the fear of change, which includes the fear of dying. But humans and I suspect all species of life are fearful of change. We are all creatures of habit and resist change with all our might, and are comfortable with the way things are. Not to mention, we all want to fit in. We all want to be like everyone else or like someone else. We all want to idolize others and are thoroughly convinced we are right, even though inwardly we always resent that fact, not truth. For that diversity and that richness to emerge and to flourish and to thrive, we need freedom from our own conformity. Our differences need not necessarily be used to divide us. On the contrary they can be used to unite us. The head cannot perform the function of the heart , nor the heart perform the function of the head, but they need each other and both of them are just as important. Which begs the question is the truth only one or are there many truth's ? Is the way only one or are there many ways ? Is the life only one or are there many life's ?
But that may not be the whole and the accurate, the complete and the correct picture. Not all change is necessarily a change for the better. So like I said in an earlier post, we all need the wisdom to make the right choices and the right change for the better and not for the worse

wittering.
Filibuster.
more wittering.
even more wittering.
4 minutes in.
and finally you put forward the subject of a petition.
and immediately go back to wittering and making a personal attack against an opponent.
you might believe you are making a point.
but sadly you aren't.
dropping more names isnt helping you.
I really hope you sit down and do this again properly.
As you might actually be trying hard to make a point, but wittering isn't making your case.
Good luck.

I respect Mr. Stallman alot. No matter how weird he is. He is absolutely right about his views of software and IP law. Even the free BSD community needs to thank Mr. Stallman for the invention of free software.
That being said, I don't think Mr. Stallman is a good president. Also he is old enough that's natural for him to retire. Let someone else step in his shoes now that he is still alive.

This is the first I've heard of Minsky and Epstein. Stallman should have known better, but I'm glad to see he's back. I hope he learned something.
I don't understand why these guys you mentioned that are against RMS and FSF don't just do their own thing. If Coraline wants ethical software, then write a copyright that covers it, and make software. This is so much like religion.

When I was in school we were given lessons called English Comprehension. The purpose of these lessons were to ensure proper understanding of what was being read, not just a basic knee jerk reaction. I wonder if any of the cancel RMS people would pass these lessons, I think not. RMS DID NOT support the other guy, he was saying the terms used were not correct. That is all.

If there was no freedom, would the world be where it is today ? Why are we complaining about freedom now ? Is the world where it is today because there was no freedom or there was a lack of freedom, or we never had any freedom , never had any choice or any say in any matter, or that we made all the wrong choices, in that we lacked the wisdom to make right choice.

It's not quite accurate to say there is never forgiveness in cancel culture. If you confess your irredeemable depravity and need for salvation via the Party's guidance, and you grovel on your knees while declaring a commitment to unquestioning allegiance henceforth, you will be allowed to rejoin society. That's the primary goal of the struggle session.

Richard Stallman may not have the best opinions about politics or watever, but that doesnt matter. That man is so dedicated towards FOSS, that he has never even used proprietary software all these years. You have to admire a man like him, who stands soooo true to his ideals! AND THATS WHAT MATTERS.

What ever Richard has said about Epstein or about animals, he is a human and is allowed to have his opinion, and sometimes he doesn't think before he opens his mouth, like everyone. But he was always strong in the free software foundation, and he is always authentic.

2:30 and not only that, they also don't contribute to free software at all.
5:00 Oh, there it is what I just said. They're just political activists produced by academia and they need to live inside the controversy in order to have a job.
