What you've done and are doing with DTOS is something I was hoping to do for a long time. I keep flip flopping between Arch and Debian Lately (Debian 11 is really slick BTW). I know DTOS is strictly Arch related but it would be sweet to make a colorized theming package (like you're building here these last few videos) to work with any Linux distro. I'm sure that would take MANY hours to accomplish such a feat but I like what you're doing here with the colorized theming.
You need to try and figure out a way to theme the system during installation. For example, have it ask the user to select a color theme for the installation. Then if the user selects Solarized Dark, then everything would be set to Solaraized Dark (terminal, login, etc...). That would be a great feature.
I'm not 100% of your programming skills DT but building an application that you can run which will allow you to change your color theme on the fly would be pretty sweet as well. Being able to open a GUI type program like a System Color Settings program would be cool if you wanted to switch between the 9 different themes.
I think there's great potential for a theme selection tool growing here. Keep up the great work! I can't wait for www.DTOS.com (you better hurry up and grab that URL if you already haven't).
EDIT: I just checked... www.DTOS.com is for sale for $27750. So much for THAT idea!

Hi DT community
I used SDDM with Pop 20.04 and it worked fine, but my Nvidia card didn't work. Then I upgraded to POP 21.04 since I read that Nvidia works fine with it, but now only GDM3 works with it and LightDM and SDDM fail to get a lock on the display, or something, so when I boot up I just get a blank screen and have to use a virtual terminal to startx, open synaptic, and configure gdm3 to be the current display manager.
Can anyone point me to a solution that doesn't involve switching my distro?

LoL . DistroTube has no boilerplate distro detect script for multi-distro install scripts. We creators do love to get ahead of oursleves. Odds are there's a vid for that. Valuable sub-lesson. Poking fun, but truly another awesome Linux Distro and Linux Desktop tutorial.
Best of luck with DTOS!

honestly when you release the DTOS script I thought that you where gonna put LigthDM or something of the sort, mostly because of the if Im not mistaken most theming in SDDM needs some KDE depencies. (I didnt see the vid yet but im assuming that you have that in consideration)

I am having an issue with the login manager having crummy FPS. The moment I log in I'm back at 100 FPS or if there's an animation for switching users. I think v-sync may be the issue but I'm not certain. Does anyone know a way to address this issue?

One more thing I noticed, whatever coffee you're drinking... cut back on it a bit. :) You're talking WAY too fast! I had to rewind the video a couple of times just to hear what you were directing... I can't click that fast. :)

Haven-t watched the video yet but I must say it is kinda funny. I just installed sddm and tried to figure out how to configure it. I am also debatting switching to Ly because I don-t like the fact that sddm runs through X.

So... you pushed to both Majaro paru repo and Arch repo and that is why you are able to do paru in VM Manjaro and pacman in VM Arch? Seeing paru use, then pacman use, kinda makes for a double take.

I actually don't use a display manager. Haven't used one for years, but the last one I did use was xdm. When it comes to color schemes, I use dracula for both Emacs and my terminal (alacritty).

I found you sed regex a bit strange. You have 's/-Current=-.-/' [etc.]. The first star is unnecessary, I reckon, as it means: -the previous character (=) 0 or more times repeated-.
