This is modern-day piracy just under a name that makes it legal. There aren't any statistics on this. Imagine entire police departments and justice departments in the US using this to find their operations and lives. This is hilarious. This is a very broken law. Laws in the US feel like a video game exploit you can repeatedly use until it is patched. This shouldn't happen.

They canceled it month ago in my country isr.
Police is now authorized to enter any home without a warrant. Only probable cause which we know its horse shit. yay, to democracy. Wait democracy? And they confiscating left and right since than. They made billion dollar seizure only this month alone. Im moving to n korea or china its more secured there right now

You should look into the Fox Lake, IL incident. Embezzlement of asset forfeiture on a massive scale. This was so much of an issue the Obama administration ceased it's asset sharing program.
I suspect the authorities would rather make a deal than prosecute it in open court.

Ok, so what if the ownership of the item has been tokenized on a blockchain. and I've tokenized all my possessions? Then write a smart contract that can invoice the police on transfer.
