I would tend to think that it is easy to identify every computer that accesses Tor simply by looking at the log of the handshake between devices, which in turn sends the Fingerprint of the connecting machine, or (MAC) address to the server in order to allow it a connection. I am not sure how Apple worked around this in recent versions of the iPhone OS, maybe you could talk some about this in a future video. Basically what i am saying is, you can run your connection through 1 million VPN or Tor networks, however, your MAC address will be found out if they are wanting it, simply because the original connection you used will have a record of your MAC address. If you are doing something a little shady, you should not use a connection starting from your home or home network because of GPS tracking, and your ISP will have a record of your MAC address, which is the fingerprint of your device. Go across town, use a laptop registered to a fake name and connect to a public network, stay off of cell service and your own network and do not use anything registered to anyone you know, nor their connection.

Video 10 out of 10! I'm currently using Brave and hardened Firefox. Because there are so few choices for good privacy browsers and I'm stuck with only 2 and would like to use more, I'm considering 2 choices. first being Chromium and the second being Tor. I just don't feel safe using Tor as-is and wondering if you using a good VPN provider and then use the Tor browser without the Tor network would that yield you the same privacy and security as a hardened firefox? In other words would it remove all the -cons- associated with Tor? Ibecausd I used brave and firefox already for non google accounts I'm trying to find a good browser to use for general web browsing and a 4th browser for google not logged on youtube. I use chrome for all google but do so much youtube activity I'm starting to think I should break off and have a dedicated no log in google youtube browser. But as you said in other videos, google already knows what they know which is 8 years of daily youtube searches. is there a point to branch it off now or is it too late?

Another great educational video mate and people using TOR should only be concerned if they are doing Illegal activities those who want privacy should still be vigilant but as they are not breaking the law they have nothing to fear. Ironically TOR was developed for military use and from there somewhere along the line turned it into a civillian high end encryption service. anyhow cheers mate

I cant say how much I appreciate you and your efforts to maintain and protect the value in truth and the ability to freely share information. Today we are under unprecedented attacks on this and more. Please hold strong and true. We need what you have to offer!

What tor represents is a level-playing field for privacy. If violators and good people don't have equal access to privacy, usually bad people have more access to privacy.
It's usually not possible to give good people more access to privacy.

One paedophile in Australia was caught because he used the phrase -Hiyas- when people logged on to his site - the authorities took down a massive ring of perverts.
