You have a charge controller between the solar panel and the battery so you are not getting the full voltage from the solar panel to the battery. To figure out your watts, you need to know amps and volts, where is that demonstrated? What was the state of charge in your solar generator when you started the charge? Every test i-ve seen, manufacturers overstate the wattage of their solar panels even under optimal conditions, so I don-t see how it-s remotely possible to get anywhere near a 100 watts on a cloudy day.

Thank you for this excellent review! I just bought the smaller 60 watt Rockpals panel to give it a try. If it works well for my needs, I'll buy the larger 100 watt panel. I intend to use these to charge my Jackery Explorer 500 and a smaller Jackery Explorer 240. I charge these during the day and use them to power my two astrophotography imaging rigs. The big 500 powers my primary rig for two nights on a full charge. The smaller 240 gives me about 5. 5 hours on a full charge.

Good info. I used the foldable Rockpals 100W Solar panel extensively last summer during a 2 month road trip for charging my small Jackery 160W unit. Now I have it replaced with a Jackery Explorer 240W, so with it's pass thru capability I should be able to charge and power my new mini fridge/cooler plus other small devices at the same time, without any problems. Rockpals is excellent, the only thing missing are some leg stands for proper positioning.

voltage was amazing in the shade and with partial coverage. I'm looking for a plug and play solar generator system and this was such a good video. I had an aha moment when you pointed out the panels in parallel becuz I didn't understand the difference before this. thank you

It's so strange how in tech it sometimes pays to wait, the early adopters always get the sub par variations to play with but in the end it often costs twice as much to be an early adopter in tech.

How can we pair 2 rockpals 100watt panels to charge the rockpals 300watt power station? Rockpals are saying that the 80watt panels can only run parallel. Thank you for your help!

Good video. Are you still happy with the rockpals 300watt power station and 100 watt solar panel and would you recommend buying them? Thank you.

Wow I wouldn't have guessed there's so much solar energy in the shade but I guess that's why it's not completely dark in the shade.
